2015 > Veemgebouw

The characteristic Veemgebouw (warehouse) with its rounded corners, directly next to the Beukenlaan (ring road), asks for features that ensure a coming of going of people: not only because of its looks, but certainly because of its strategic place near the entrance of Strijp-S. The ground floor will be a place for food experience, in the broadest sense of the word. Here you can go - stimulated by smells, colours and tastes - on a culinary journey through diverse cultures: watch, eat and drink, taste and buy, be amazed and enjoy.

Anton & Gerard

The Anton and Gerard buildings are the first two white buildings of the Hoge Rug (High Ridge) at Strijp-S, as seen from the Beukenlaan. These imposing national monuments - former factory buildings where Philips produced a variety of devices - have started a new life. Trudo transformed these buildings into very special places to visit and to stay, for work and for living. One thing remains unaffected: the characteristic industrial look, on the inside and outside.

Apparatenfabriek

Following the example of the Klokgebouw, the Apparatenfabriek (an old Philips device factory) is redeveloped into a business complex with over a hundred workspaces in different sizes and at different rental rates. The old Philips factory has been completed in 2011 and offers 20,000 square feet of commercial space and office space for the creative industries.

Condo (delayed)

This area of the Triangle is literally dominated by an imposing tower, which should be completed in 2016. The ground floor offers leisure features, but the floors above are intended for 146 affordable rental apartments.

Kashba (delayed)

Three well-known designers - Piet Hein Eek, Maarten Baas and Joost van Bleiswijk - have been commissioned to make a plan for project Kashba. The buildings in this area will be grouped in such a way that it creates a surprising maze with alleys and courtyards. This area invites people to wander and explore.

Klokgebouw

With over a 100 entrepreneurs from the creative industries, the Klokgebouw (the building with the huge Philips clock on top) runs at full speed. It's a vibrant, exciting and surprising building. The Klokgebouw is a business complex with workspaces in various price ranges and sizes. But it offers more: the building's features are deployed as ‘quartermasters' in the redevelopment of Strijp-S.

Machinekamer

Once, the Machinekamer (Engine Room) kept the factories at Strijp-S going, but now it has been transformed into a restaurant and commercial space.

The Ketelhuis

The Ketelhuis (former Philips boiler room) is the place where food and drinks, arts and culture meet. The building, which used to heat up the entire Philips industrial site, is filled with a restaurant, a tiny coffee place, a bakery, studios and exhibition space.

The Leidingstraa

The Leidingstraat (a collection of pipes above street level that used to transport fluids and gas across the Strijp-S area) remains a key element at Strijp-S. The industrial pergola of 550 meters long leads the way and connects different areas within the Triangle. You can wander across it, or sit under it on a comfortable bench or terrace. The Leidingstraat is decorated with urban greenery.

Tower (delayed)

The Triangle has several industrial icons. These monumental buildings recall the past, but the Triangle is especially a place for the future and absolutely needs a new, eye-catching building.
